Our board members come from a wide range of backgrounds, giving their time voluntarily to help us run Women’s Pioneer Housing.

Ruth Buckingham, Chair

Ruth is a successful Strategic Planner and Project Management Office Lead with a background in planning, performance monitoring, project management and business improvement.

She has a track record of successfully delivering corporate transformation programmes, service reviews and business improvement projects.

Michael Reed, Chair of Audit & Risk Committee

Mike is an experienced finance and internal audit professional who, prior to retirement, held a number of corporate and policy roles in the Senior Civil Service.

He now works part-time conducting specialist reviews for the Government Internal Audit Agency and governance seminars for private and public sector organisations.

Yemi Aladerun

Yemi is a chartered architect specialising in residential developments. She currently works for Islington & Shoreditch Housing Association as a Major Project Manager and Quality Assurance Champion.

Her other advisory position is as a trustee for Olmec, a social enterprise which champions race equality through economic and social justice.

Judith Page

Judith has over 20 years’ experience working in property-related roles in social housing and local government. She has 15 years’ experience as a senior manager at Executive/Director level.

Her achievements include designing and delivering a restructure which delivered £500,000 worth of savings, putting in place action plans to improve service delivery for a repairs service and producing a procurement strategy (including IT plan) for contract procurement.

Emily Orme 

Emily is a qualified barrister specialising in housing, local government, and property law for 13 years. She was previously recommended in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners and is author of a number of publications from books to blogs about the legal framework that surrounds social housing. She therefore brings considerable expertise and specialist knowledge of housing law, social housing regulation and housing management to the Board. In 2016, Emily decided to leave the Bar and embarked on a career in housing management. She has established herself as a talented and innovative senior leader in the social housing sector, speaking regularly at seminars and conferences about the challenges facing the sector. She has built a strong reputation for creating positive change and cultural transformation. Emily also has previous Board experience with Zebra Housing Association, a smaller provider with circa 130 homes in central London. She is currently the Chair at Zebra, but has also acted as Chair of Audit and Risk Committee, and Vice Chair of the Board.

Emily is delighted to be able to bring her skills and experience to the WPH Board. Her values are strongly aligned with WPH and she is passionate about promoting supportive environments for women, not just in housing but in all walks of life.

Catherine Parsons

Catherine has over twenty years experiencing of working in housing and the voluntary sector supporting people experiencing homelessness and poverty, young people and people living with serious mental illness.

She is currently a senior manager at Thames Reach, and has a track record in securing new business and in establishing partnerships to work collaboratively to resolve complex issues.

Kemi Ayodele 

Kemi is a senior leader within the built environment sector with over 16 years’ experience of leading diverse and highly motivated teams to deliver exemplary results at every stage of the development lifecycle. She has led delivery of large-scale mixed-use developments across residential, commercial and hotel schemes. Since joining Argent in 2019, she has led projects from inception at the 67- acre King’s Cross regeneration development.
