Collaborate
We seek to maximise opportunities for residents to collaborate with staff to deliver WPH objectives. We involve residents in our own work and our work with external providers and partners to continuously improve the quality of homes and services.
The RESP lead on the development of an ongoing programme of collaborative activity and resident scrutiny. This includes Resident Action Forums open to all residents where our policies and procedures on different aspects of our services are reviewed and proposals for change formulated.
RESP members also sit on complaints panels to listen to resident’s complaints and work with WPH to find appropriate solutions.
We collaborate in many different ways with residents, including working groups on particular topics e.g. design workshops for new developments, sitting on recruitment panels for new staff, siting on procurement panels to select new contractors and joining us as part of the Editorial Board for Pioneer Press.
We also work with our residents to build a community of involved residents within WPH through a range of initiatives such as organising social events (e.g., Founder’s Day, Art Exhibitions, Gardening competitions, yoga etc), exploring our history, working through the Women’s Housing Forum, setting up resident befriending or mentoring schemes, joint discussions with residents from other Has. We collaborate both face to face and virtually.
