Repairs and Maintenance in Your Home
We are committed to providing safe, secure, and good quality homes to residents, ensuring these homes are in a good state of repair.
There are certain repairs and maintenance we expect you to carry out as a Women’s Pioneer resident, and others that are our responsibility as your landlord.
One of the most frequent calls we receive in regard to repairs and maintenance is requests for a spare key or reports of a lost key. We understand there are times when you require another key cut for your home or communal door, and we are here to advise you in these instances. We can advise you of the best process to obtain a new key depending on the type required and recommend a contractor to carry out this work, while this may be at your cost as the resident.

Our Responsibilities include:
- Keeping the structure and exterior of your home safe and secure
- Ensure all fixtures and fittings for supplying water, gas, electricity, heating and sanitation are in good working order
- To maintain communal areas and facilities

As a resident, we expect you to keep your home clean and in good condition, preventing damage caused by misuse or neglect. This includes minor repairs and replacements such as light bulbs or batteries for CO2 detectors.
If you are unsure whether a repair is your responsibility or our responsibility, please contact us to clarify this further. If it is your responsibility and you need support to repair the issue, we can recommend relevant contractors for you to contact.
Residents are reminded to contact us at Women’s Pioneer directly for any repair or maintenance issues. We will be able to advise you best as to how to proceed with certain repairs or maintenance queries.
Report A Repair
You can report a repair during office hours, Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm. We are not open on weekends or Bank Holidays. You can call us on 020 8749 7112 or email us at customerservices@womenspioneer.co.uk.
When you contact us, our customer services team will take all necessary details and organise for a repair to be carried out by one of our contractors.
Emergency Repairs
If you have an emergency repair after our office has closed or on Bank Holidays, please phone our usual number, 020 8749 7112, and your call will be diverted to TCL who will arrange to carry out the emergency repair.
An emergency repair is defined by an issue that requires immediate attention and may include issues which threaten the safety of the building or present health and safety concerns. This may include electrical faults, a fault with a door lock, a blocked water supply, or wastewater leaks.
Do you Smell Gas?
If you have a suspected Gas Leak, you must contact Gas Emergency Services immediately on 0800 111 999.
