Maximising your Benefits
It can be difficult to find out what benefits you are entitled to as the eligibility criteria can often change.
We would always recommend you check your entitlement using a benefit calculator. Gov.UK offers an independent, free, and anonymous calculator to assess your entitlement. Access this calculator by clicking here.
If your circumstances have recently changed, it is worth checking that you are receiving the right benefits. Changes may include: your income, disability, caring responsibilities, amongst others.
Universal Credit has replaced certain ‘legacy benefits’ which you may have claimed previously, these include Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, amongst others. If you still receive these legacy benefits, it is expected you will move to Universal Credit at some point in the near future.
Difficulty Paying your Rent
We encourage you to get in touch with us if you are having difficulties paying your rent. We will work with you to plan how we can support you to clear any rent arrears, whether this includes support in maximising your income, or setting up a payment plan to keep up to date with your rent payments.
Contact us to speak to someone about difficulties paying your rent. Our Customer Services Advisors will be able to assist and direct you to the best person to support with your queries or concerns.
