Fire Door Safety Programme

WPH has began a programme of fire door surveys across all of our properties. This initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to resident safety and to ensuring that every home remains fully compliant with current fire safety legislation and regulatory standards. 

Fire doors play a vital role in protecting both residents and buildings. In the event of a fire, they are specifically designed to slow the spread of fire and smoke, helping to protect escape routes and providing valuable time for residents to exit the building safely. The fire door programme is to help us ensure that your doors are in good condition and can perform as intended in the event of a fire. 

Residents will have received further communication with more detailed information about what to expect. Our appointed contractors will contact residents directly to arrange convenient appointments. The inspection process itself is straightforward and should only take a short amount of time to complete. 

As these surveys are a legal and regulatory requirement, it is important that residents provide access at the agreed appointment time. Contractors will only need access to the immediate front door area and will not need to enter other parts of the home.
