Older Women's Housing
Women’s Pioneer Housing are dedicated to our mission to offer single women access to safe, secure, and good quality affordable homes and services that enable women to live a good quality of live.
We have five Sheltered Housing Schemes which aim to support older women to live independently. These Schemes offer secure tenancies in self-contained flats, grouped in a small block.
About our Older Women's Houses
Our Schemes are based in Kensington and Chelsea and offer 182 Homes for Older Women. They are specifically for women aged 60+.
Each of our Schemes has an on-site manager, shared residents’ lounge, and warden alarms. These services allow for independent living, with the addition of communal spaces and on-site support, promoting women’s independence while understanding support needs. These Schemes offer a vibrant, supportive community for women in the borough.
How do you allocate Older Women's Housing?
We work directly with Local Authorities and allocate our properties through nominations agreements alongside our public waiting list, ensuring single women on waiting lists across London can access housing support. You can read more about this here: ‘Our Housing Waiting List’. Additionally, we may allocate properties through referral agencies who work to house women with urgent housing needs.
